Gustavo López Leyenda graduated in Chemistry from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2023. In 2025, he earned two Master’s degrees at UAB: Industrial Chemistry and Introduction to Chemical Research and Fine Chemistry and Polymers.
Currently, he is pursuing a PhD focused on the design and synthesis of novel selective TRPV2 modulators with therapeutic potential for the treatment of hypertension. In parallel, he is developing functionalized chitosan hydrogels capable of forming and stabilizing metallic nanoparticles within their structure. His research bridges molecular design and practical applications, contributing to innovative solutions in both medicinal chemistry and advanced biomaterials.
